Guillaume Demésy graduated with a major in optics at SupOptique (Orsay, France). His PhD work, defended in 2009 at Institut Fresnel (Marseille, France), consisted in the development of Finite Element 3D vector electromagnetic models for solving de Maxwell's equations in complex multi-domain opto-geometric structures. His postoctoral fellowship at University of Toronto under the direction of Sajeev John was devoted to the study of resonant solar light trapping using photonic crystals. Guillaume Demésy is now Assistant Professor at Aix-Marseille Université/Insitut Fresnel. His research work is currently focused on numerical techniques to compute resonances of nanophotonic frequency dispersive systems and related applications in e.g. plasmonics, spectral filtering, waveguides...
