There's nothing wrong with yacc, but you may find this free tool more capable:

http://www.antlr.org/

Hope this helps.

Mark

Those are minor issues, it's really a great site and excellent software. Thank
you for providing English translations. I deeply appreciate the discussion
"MATHEMATICAL ASPECTS OF THE FINITE ELEMENT METHOD" at
http://www.montefiore.ulg.ac.be/services/elap/elm_en.html
(Another minor point -- "physicians" in English means medical doctors, whereas
"physicists" do electromagnetics and physics.)

I work for a company which performs electromagnetic simulations. We have a few
of the very expensive simulators like IE3D. I am eager to try out GetDP on some
problems to see how it compares. My company has even discussed the idea of
making contributions to IE3D at the source code level. They said they would be
happy to talk. Anyway, I feel that GetDP has a superior philosophy of analysis
and more generality. I would rather be using it -- if only I knew how! We are
generally operating in the W band (95 GHz).

My only real regret is that there is not a user manual, tutorial, or examples
booklet. I am a computer programmer as well, so I understand objects and
languages and yacc and all that. However the program really needs a "getting
started" tutorial. I hope that at some point you will be able to offer one.

I have read the PDF overview. This is well written, but some examples would
greatly clarify the usage of the program.

Best regards,

Mark

Well, maybe that's because there are no links in the "navigation bar"!?

Anyway, I'll soon put a new version online, together with more examples.
