Dear Christophe, Johan:

As from a time I am working in my project of thesis to obtain a title of electrical engineer in the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María - Chile.

I have worked with Gmsh/GetDP for the analysis with finite elements of an induction machine in two dimensions. I have studied his investigations. Is very important have additional information related with the publication; “Analysis of a permanent magnet generator with dual formulations using periodicity conditions and moving band; IEEE Trans on Magn, Vol 38, Nº2 March 2002, pp 961-964”. Here makes reference upon method of moving band and my questions are:

How I can enforce the boundary conditions for the movil band method in GetDP/Gmsh?

In its study, yourself they generated a rotation of the rotor of 2.5º and calculated the EMF.

How I program GetDP/Gmsh to move the geometry of the rotor in terms of the time? Which one is the utilized procedure?

In a second publication, “A general method for the frequency domain FE modeling of rotating electromagnetic devices; IEEE Trans on Magn, Vol 39, Nº3 May 2003, pp 1147-1150 ” also they utilize the movil band concept.

The implementation in GetDP/Gmsh is the same one?

I am not an expert in the technique of finite elements and GetDP has helped me very much in the compression of this method, so that his help to continue in this line is very important

Greeting

Christian Geikowsky R.
