Dear Dan,

You need to define the ‘holes’ in the air.
You can add to your geo file:

bndmag[] = CombinedBoundary {Volume{2:9};};
bndAir[] = Boundary {Volume{1};};

slbndmag =newsl ; Surface Loop (newsl) = bndmag[];
slbndAir =newsl ; Surface Loop (newsl) = bndAir[];

volAir = newv; Volume(newv) = {slbndAir, slbndmag};

However, this won’t work, as your volumes 2 to 9 are touching and the intersections not defined.
You will have to repair the stp geometry by defining this intersections.

Best regards,
Ruth Sabariego

All,

I can use some help debugging the attached GetDP problem. I started from the force example but am replacing the geometry with a STP geometry from a magnetron, which also includes induction (CRS, cold rolled steel).

As referred to in the subject line, the solution just seems to terminate at the magnet surface boundary. Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Dan
