We've just released Gmsh 2.0.4, a minor update that fixes some of the
more annoying bugs discovered in Gmsh 2.0.0.

Most notably:

1) the 3D Delaunay algorithm should not crash anymore when optimizing
meshes--and we've thus made it the default 3D algorithm instead of
Netgen (it's more robust and much faster). You should continue to use
Netgen if you generate mixed structured/unstructured grids, as the
Delaunay can not guarantee that these mixed meshes will be conforming.

2) the seemingly random crashes and/or slowdowns during 2D mesh
generation (mostly on Windows) should be fixed. (But for some reason the
Windows build still seems to be less robust than the Linux and Mac ones.
If you have any insight to share with us on this, please don't hesitate...)

Also, it is now possible to define volumes from STEP/IGES/BRep surfaces.
See demos/component8_in_a_box.geo in the source distribution for an example.
