[Gmsh] segfault in gmsh build

Howdy,

	If I build gmsh with 
	./configure --prefix=/usr --mandir=/usr/share/man --datadir=/usr/share/gmsh
	it immediantly segfaults on startup

	compilier:
		gcc 3.3.1
	linux: 2.4.22
	distro: gentoo
	system:
		dual P3 (Coppermine) 667 Mhz
	CFLAGS:
		tried -O2 and -O3 -march-pentium3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer
	CXXFLAGS
		same as above
