[Gmsh] Get only quad elements on a surface

I'm so sorry !

I've hesitate a long time before sending you my last message, but not enough
to find that the Mesh.RecombineAlgo option was only available on the very
last version of Gmsh (1.62) !

I was working with the the 1.32 version installed with code-aster...

Now the option is recognized and the mesh is almost what I was expecting
(quads are not as regular as I imagined, but it is really enough for what I
need to compute)

Thank you for all your work and help !

David.

Objet : Get only quad elements on a surface

Hi!

I would like Gmsh to produce meshes like the one on he surface n° 10 - only
with quad elements, and if possible as well placed...
When Surface n° 9 as no other surface inside then the produced mesh is very
regular and "Recombine" process works as I expect it to do.

I've read about the "Mesh.RecombineAlgo = 2;" option on page 59 of gmsh.pdf,
but it seems not to be recognized by Gmsh at the opening, from a
command -string option, or in .gmsh-option file. I can't find it on any menu
of the program interface.
And when I make a script file like that :

Mesh.RecombineAlgo = 2;
Merge "exceldos.geo";

The first line throw an error at the opening.

Thanks in advance for you help.

David.
