You should dowload gmsh 2.0.8 which is the current stable version of 
gmsh. This version includes
the integration of OpenCascade and many other improvements.

This integration was possible thanks to the SALOME project. We worked 
with EDF on that.

Note that we use a direct access to the API of opencascade : we do not 
convert
STEP or IGES files into an in-house CAD representation.

I'm in Louvain-la-Neuve tomorrow, but Christophe will possibly be in Liège.
