[Gmsh] mesh refinement

Hi there,

I have a little problem with gmsh's mesh refinement (with option
-refine). I have recovered some 3D mesh from somewhere, containing
reference numbers. I want to refine it, so I call

gmsh -3 -refine -saveall mesh.msh

The thing is, the output mesh does not contain any reference number any
more, and this is completely useless for me. So I guess I mishandled
something. How should I proceed?

Of course, I don't want the original reference numbers only, but also
the reference numbers I should naturally get on the new nodes (i.e. if
an element's face is originally on the boundary, I expect this to still
be true after the refinement, on all the new triangles generated by the
refinement). Is that any possible?

Thanks for your support,

L.
