As explained in a previous message, trimmed surfaces are not well supported in Gmsh--you should use a real CAD modeler to create your geometry, export it e.g. as STEP, then mesh it in Gmsh.

Attached you'll find a fix for your particular problem (add "In Sphere" in your surface definition). This fix will only work for transformed surfaces with tomorrow's nightly build.
