Dear all,

i'm sending this message again since I didn't receive back from the
gmsh-list ...

thanks and bw,

Cristobal.

Hi all,

i'd like to create a hex mesh (or hex dominant), from a triangulated
surface (merged into gmsh). I've tried many things but without success
....

It is actually possible to do this? (the examples in the tutorial and
in some emails do this with analytical geometries?!). Hence i tried
with "Mesh.SubdivisionAlgorithm=2" but Gmsh crashes (even for a very
simple geometry), so I suppose i'm doing something wrong ...

Does maybe the Frontal Hex 3D meshing algorithm does this job ? If
yes, what are the requirements ? (i tried but it generated only tets).
I tried also with first remeshing the surfaces with quads but Gmsh
says that that no tessallations can be generated from a quad-surface.

As you can see I'm quite lost so i'll be very grateful for any help
you can give me ...

best,

Cristobal.
