[Gmsh] Problem with meshing

Dear Mr. Geuzaine,

I’m a student of mechanical engineering, successfully using your great
piece of software to create meshes for stress analysis for my thesis.

My current problem is, that the compound feature of lines does not seem to
work properly for my geometry (which is coming from a STEP solid model).

When defining transfinite lines on the lines which have been connected via
the compound feature, things start to get weird:

Although the meshed nodes are correct and look fine (see image xxx), the
surface mesh does not respect the 1D-meshed nodes on my lines (see image
YYY).

I attached the geo-file as well as the step-model.

It would be great if you could check this, I’m sure you will be able to
tell me whether the problem is related to my geometry, to the meshing
parameters or to your software.

Thanks a lot for your help!!!

Thanks,

Stefan Hesse
