hello

from my computer i do not notice the feature your are talking of
screen and .msh file are coherent
however i think  Gmsh uses some random numbering procedure
which means that if you redo today a meshing on a .geo the numbering
may not be the same as a .msh file saved yesterday

professeur Gueuzaine may confirm or infirm my statement !!

the conclusion off all that one should always create named groups and
work from them in the solver, even for a single entity
