[Gmsh] Possibility of rectilinear mesh?

Yes: you can use "Transfinite" mesh constraints for this and/or create your geometries with "Extrude" and specify regular grids with the "Layers" command. See tutorial/t6.geo and tutorial/t3.geo for simple examples.
