[Gmsh] Problem with command line -optimize

Dear gmsh developers,
I want just to optimize 3D the mesh file (.msh) in the command line interface. I'm able to do this using GUI interface but not by the command line. 
I tried: gmsh newmesh.msh -optimize_netgen.
Sorry for (maybe) this stupid question.
