[Gmsh] cut hole into half space

Hello,

I am trying to model a a hole which has been drilling into the earth so 
that i can do some stress analysis on hole. I have managed to mesh the 
hole. However I require a half space with this drill hole cut into it as 
a hole. a 1km cube half space would be ideal. I have attached the model 
of the hole. Any ideas on how to cut the hole into a half space would be 
appreciated.
