[Gmsh] Clipping hypersurface

Hi!

When using the clipping tool on a view which has a scalar function
defined on a 3d mesh, the resulting 2d hypersurface will be not be a
true plane, but is uneven because it shows the mesh structure (see
attached screenshot).

Is it possible in GMSH to instead show a hypersurface which is truly
planar, and fill that plane with colours that represent function values
obtained by interpolation?

Best regards
