[Gmsh] Extude and Scale Surface

Hi everyone,

I am trying to use gmsh to create a mesh similar to that shown in the
attachment (mesh.png). The strategy includes first extruding a surface
and then scaling it to adapt it to the splines describing the nozzle.

However, while it is possible to extrude and rotate a surface
simultaniously, it does not seem to be possible to extrude and scale a
surface in one operation. If I scale the surface after I extrude it, the
surfaces on the side do not adapt to the scaling. If I unroll the
.geo-file (gmsh file.geo -0), the side surfaces lose their layer structure.

This leaves me with two options:

1. Create a 3D unstructured mesh
2. Create a 3D transfinite mesh

What I would like to do, however, is create a 2D unstructured mesh and
then extrude and scale it using Layers. This would yield a probably very
good all-hex mesh.

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Best regards,

Dario
