Dear Mr Jin,

I never used it myself, but there is a PostView field that seem to do exactly what you want (see documentation here<http://gmsh.info/doc/texinfo/gmsh.html#Specifying-mesh-element-sizes>).

Objet : [Gmsh] use scalar point view as background mesh?

Hi,

Is it possible to use scalar point view as background mesh?
If I set SP(x,y,z){lc}, then the characteristic length near (x,y,z) is lc.

If not, how could I achieve this using gmsh's current capability?
