[Gmsh] R: command line options

Ok, I guess I found it out:

Gmsh -3 –smooth N –optimize_netgen

does the trick. There is no need to explicitly carry out the 2D mesh first, which is needed instead when working interactively to proceed then with smoothing.

You can get all the available options by typing in the command line:
gmsh -—help


2D mesh => -2
3D mesh => -3
gmsh -smooth number_steps
gmsh -optimize
