[Gmsh] Problem with duplicate triangles in STL files (Vahid Tari)

Hi Vahid,

One solution could be to export your STL file in .msh file with the
duplicated elements. Then, you can use GEFICOT, GEo FIles COherence
Tool, available on the following web page for free to help you to remove
duplicated elements and/or merge co-localised construction nodes from
a .msh file.

You should have after this step a .msh file without any duplicated
triangles. After, you can use the MeshToGeo tool available on the
following web page for free to convert your .msh computed in the
previous step to a .geo file with geo triangles:

Finally, using Gmsh application, you can easily define with the GUI the
volume based on the external boundary of your geometry.

Regards,

Benjamin
