[Getdp] 1D nonlinear wave equation?

Hello,

GetDP seems like a very powerful package, although it will require some
time to get my head around. :)

I'm new to FEM, having mostly used FDM before.  The problem I'm currently
trying to solve -- coupled 1D nonlinear wave equations -- fail using FDM.
Hence I'm hoping FEM will prove to be a more stable method.

Is GetDP appropriate for nonlinear problems?  And if I have a term like
u^3, where u is complex, on the RHS, how do I implement this?

Any suggestions/recommendations very welcome. :)
