[Getdp] hp-adaptation

Hi,

The suggested hp-adaptation in the getdp resources is to use h adaptation
followed by p adaptation. In the general literature on hp-adaptation, the h
and p adaptations are done in a single step i.e. some elements are h
refined and some are p refined. Are the two approaches mathematically
equivalent ? Does this alternate h and p adaptation also provide the
exponential convergence that hp-adaptation is known for ?
