[Gmsh] Using GUI

Hello,
I'd downloaded Gmsh and I would like to use it as mesh
generator for further computing with Aster. The
problem is that I could not use the GUI! I simply
tried to generate mesh for a block but it doesn't
work. Examining the tutorial: no result!
So could you help me, please, in order to prepare
