[Gmsh] Mesh Doubt

It is correct: Gmsh does not number the nodes (or the elements) 
sequentially (think of the numbers as just tags).

If you want to reorder and renumber the nodes/elements you can use e.g. 
the little utility provided in gmsh/utils/misc/mshsort.cpp
