I am not sure but I think that if you define physical surfaces only then only the surface elements will appear in the mesh file.

Assunto: [Gmsh] Generating a triangular surface mesh

Hello all,

I've recently discovered gmsh and would like to use it to generate a
very simple mesh, representing the surface of a unit cube via
triangular elements.
However, when I attempt to do this via constructing a cube from points
and lines and then surfaces and then generating a mesh. However, the
resulting mesh seems to have a lot of line and point type elements.

Is there a way to restrict it to triangular elements only?

Regards,
Jonathan
