[Gmsh] Handling stl files

Hi, I'm a newbie of gmsh, but I fell I will really love it.

I would like to use it to remesh stl files. I've seen that old versions 
have the STL button and they work quite well in many cases (in 
particular, the way they extract feature curves is amazing!). On the 
contrary, I couldn't remesh STL files with the latest version of the 
program: I can import them,  but features are not extracted and the mesh 
commands don't work at all.

What am I missing?
