[Gmsh] New to GMSH, need help with Windows

I am trying to get gmsh up and running with my windows vista OS. I have
downloaded gmsh 2.2.4, cygwin and OpenGLUT. How do I view the examples that
are provided with the download? I can view the text, but not the pictures.
Also, how do I create images?
