[Gmsh] Enclosing surfaces

Hello all =D
I have defined a sphere and a cube around it. And I have 2 physical volumes
- sphere and the volume between cube and sphere boundaries. When cube is
bigger than sphere (a > 2r) everything is fine. When sphere just fits inside
the cube (a = 2r) only the sphere is meshed and the second volume is not
meshed.

Is it me doing something wrong? See attached clipped png's and geometry.

My gmsh is compiled with netgen support only =)
