[Gmsh] Spring element/Zero length 1D element

Hi
I'm going to use Gmesh as mesh generator for Code_Aster. 
I would simulate a beam resting on an uneven soil and after an initial reading 
of Gmesh documentation I'm not able to know how it is possible to generate 1D 
element associated to each node generated along a line.
The 1D element have two node that could be (not necessarily) coincident
thanks in advance.
