Hi Adrien,

the problem might be that you have several bodies whose outer faces overlap.
If you have only planar faces in your model, you can try to activate "Cut and merge faces" under Tools->Options->Geometry->General. This might clean those overlaps.
If not - well, I am actually working on a solution for curved faces, but it is not mature yet.
If you have the possibility to remove those duplicate outer faces in your CAD, this is certainly the best solution.

HTH,

Matthias

Betreff: [Gmsh] Error : Self intersecting surface mesh, computing intersections (this could take a while)

Hi everybody,

I passed yesterday afternon, trying to fixe it but I found nothing.

For my master thesis I have to compute centrifugale force on a micro-compressor. I have not design it myself but I can redesign it, if its needed (but I prefer not).
When I 3D mesh it, I have an error message :

Error : Self intersecting surface mesh, computing intersections (this could take a while)

But, only the 2D mesh is available.

What can I do ?

Adrien

PS : Sorry for my poor english.
