[Gmsh] intersecting faces...

Hi,

I have reproduced your problem. There are indeed intersections, you can see them when you merge the intersect.pos file written by gmsh to your geo file. Now where the intersections come from and why MeshLab doesn't find them I don't know. But at least you can see where they are.

HTH,

Matthias

Betreff: [Gmsh] intersecting faces...

Hello all
I have an STL model that I created in MeshLAB. MeshLAB can't find any self-intersecting faces in the 2D surface.
I then Merge the STL file into a GEO file and try to create a 3D mesh by selecting the surface and adding a volume.
However, the 3D meshing algorithm complains about self-intersecting faces. These must be somewhere in the interior of the body, right? So, what can I do to solve this problem?
Attached are my STL and GEO files.
All the best,
Einat
