[Gmsh] stl meshing

Good morning to everybody

I have a problem in getting a 3d mesh out of attached stl file

I tried to follow what is written in wiki/STLremeshing but no mesh is done.
Non errors non warning but the .msh file contains only triangular elements

The stl  file should be ok, I can read and mesh it in netgen with 3d
elements

Attached you can find the  stl file and the geo file used to run gmsh from
the command line
