[Gmsh] strange problem with gmshpy module on linux

Dear All
I finally managed to install the pyton-gmsh  extension
However trying to import it
via
import gmshpy provokes the following length and cryptic error message!
/usr/bin/python: symbol lookup error:
/usr/lib/openmpi/lib/openmpi/mca_paffinity_linux.so: undefined symbol:
mca_base_param_reg_int

I am at a loss how to fix that.

Any help will be appreciated.
