[Gmsh] beginner question

Dear Mme/Sir:

I try to run a gmsh plugin on something I am looking at, but get "Error View[-1] does not exist". The documentation suggests that -1 is the default view. Please assist.

Also, I have problems creating a binary background mesh  ( 3 doubles, 3 doubles, 3 ints, many doubles - produces an error).
