I'm sorry to disturb you that maybe there is a bug in Gmsh.

Since there is no help for data structure of this kind of element(element_type=93), i got a test (test2.msh)in Gmsh. And in this test, we suppose that the 8-node of the block is 0-7, then i got the inner-face node of the 5th face in PIC_1.JPG(6 faces totally, the 4 vertex of the face is 2-3-7-6), and the node 80 near the node 2.

Then i got another GMSH file gmsh_order3.msh(in the attched files), and the inner-face node of the 5th face is distributed as in PIC_2.JPG, which confused me a lot.

Look forward to your favourable reply.

Best wishes,
Peter qin.
