Hello,

I am a new gmsh-user (windows version) and I would like to create a 2D-
structured mesh from a wing structure and extrude the faces
accroding to their respective thickness. I upload the step-file in gmsh
and made a unstructured mesh of it .
I found out on youtube that it is possible to transform an unstructured
mesh to a structured mesh using the commands
Transfinite and recombine in the so called geo-file. But in the video, the
CAD-File was not provided.
So my question is , it is possible to create a 2D-Structured mesh from a
given Step-file?
If yes , how do I go about doing that? Thx.

I upload a copy of the structure

Many Greetings

Gilles
