[Gmsh] RE incorrectly created msh file from two merged geo files

means that element 56 is type 1 a 2 nodes lines which is later said to
contain 5 nodes, quite curious! 
did you try to open the.mesh file in Gmsh or to view the results of the
Merge? 
merging two .geo file s with common numbers for Points Lines ... 
if it ever succeed will produce a very curious geometry and mesh
