[Gmsh] Gmsh/getdp for analysis of electrical machines

Dear all, 

Gmsh and getdp noob here. 

I would like to use the gmsh/getdp combo for the analysis of electrical machines. 

I have downloaded the current version of onelab for Linux64 and have tried to study the example models, especially in the "machines" subdirectory. But I am still somewhat confused. 

Which materials could you recommend?
