[Gmsh] How to mesh only the volume(s) and not the lines, surfaces etc?

Fourth paragraph:
In the MSH file format (see File formats), if physical entities are
defined, the output mesh only contains those elements that belong to
physical entities. 
BTW, I have given this link several times answering the same question. Maybe this should be added to the FAQ as one of the most frequent.
