[Gmsh] Compound surfaces not respected in Gmsh v4.4

Hi Rick,

The latest development snapshot should fix the issue. (The compound feature now uses the same underlying algorithms as the new more general STL remeshing pipeline, and there are still some edge cases to iron out :-)
