Dear Ruth,
thanks for your replay. In the meanwhile I had discovered the problems
myself, both with geometry and characteristic length
Regards,
Alessandro

Dear Alessandro,
The problem comes from the characteristic lengths.
They are values are inverted: the small parts of the geometry should have a
smaller lc and not the opposite.
They should be reasonable and give an idea of the size of the discretization
you want.
I am able to get a 2D mesh with all of them fixed to 100. Or the first to
100 and the following to 10....
You will have to adjust them.
In any case, you will have to fix the volumes, there are surfaces missing!
Best regards,
Ruth

Hullo everybody,
the attached .geo file causes my Gmsh to crash while meshing 2D. The message
I get is this application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way. I am using version 2.5.0 for windows.
Can anybody tell me whats wrong in the geo file? Thank you very much in
advance.
Regards,
Alessandro
