[Gmsh] Mesh size inside a volume

Dear All,

When meshing a volume with the default settings, i.e., generating mesh consisting of simplices, the mesh size on lines and surfaces is in accordance with the values defined via the mesh size control mechanisms like characteristic lengths defined at points or via fields. However, the tetrahedral elements in a volume exceed the predefined mesh size. In fact, the size of the elements grows with increasing distance from the surface of the volume. Is there any way to prevent this from happening, so that the size of the volume elements equals the size of the surface elements?

Regards and thanks,

Sascha
