GMSH on SGI running IRIX 6.5

Dear Mr. Geuzaine,

I am trying now to install "gmsh-IRIX64" on my workstation SGI
Indogo 2 running IRIX 6.5. It did not work with the report:

   [13:09]iagjaya at iagsg10:~/bin> gmsh-IRIX64
   gmsh-IRIX64: Program not supported by architecture.

On our machine, the OpenGL library was installed under
the directory /usr/lib with the following files:

-r--r--r--    1 root     sys       1767808 Oct 12 15:53 libGLS.so

lrwxr-xr-x    1 root     sys            31 Jul 28  1999 libGLcore.so
lrwxr-xr-x    1 root     sys            11 Jul 28  1999 libmovieGL.so

This directory is already reside on my LPATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH
environments.

Could you explain me why it is so?
