[Gmsh] Extrusion with dilation or scaling.

Hi everyone: I have one quick question!

I have a curve forming one quarter of a circle
and I want to extrude it in the direction normal
to the curve, in the same plane as the curve; the
line parallel to the curve should become longer.

Something like this:
                 __
                /  |
 _             /  _|
/       ->    |  /
|             |__|

with the extrusion from right to left. Apologies
for my terrible drawing!

The extrude command appears to cater for rotation;
can I use it with dilation or a scaling function?

Thanks in advance,

Mark.
