[Gmsh] Interior Faces

I never use VTK, but for msh export, the volume mesh should be written when you check "export all (ignore physical groups)" in the dialog box appearing right before saving the mesh. Or else if the volume is defines as physical group.

Betreff: [Gmsh] Interior Faces

Hi there,

I have been trying to use GMSH to generate a mesh for a 3D cube that I am working on. However, I am exporting the generated mesh as a VTK file which I then read into my code and I have a problem at this stage.

When I export the VTK file only the faces of the tetrahedrons which are on the boundary of the problem are being exported and I require all the faces of all the tetrahedrons to be exported. I understand this is the standard behaviour for GMSH in creating the VTK file but I was wondering if there is anyway in which you can export all the faces of the tetrahedron.

The reason I require this is that I need to do surface integrals over each face of the tet and the code is bugging because it does not have the correct order of the nodes of the face.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Graeme
