[Gmsh] equivalent to Field in geo file when using gmshpy

Dear Friends

I have managed to get gmshpy to work
on my 64bit ubuntu with the LD_PRELOAD trick
I also found the example from the wiki  on constructive_Solid_Geometry

However it is not clear to me how I can control the characteristic length
from python!
Any pointers will be appreciated.
