Hi,
next attempt in my quest for meshing a layered structure. The goal is to have a refined mesh at one of the edges. This time I use a combination of an Attractor and a Threshold field, as suggested in demos/fields.geo in the gmsh distribution. I am still under gmsh 2.8.0 64bit, Windows 7.
I have attached 2 examples. layers.geo has two layers and works (even though it takes a loong time). layers2.geo does the 2D mesh, but crashes when the 3D meshing is launched.
Any suggestions/workarounds/bugfixes permitting to get a 3D mesh in this structure (layers2.geo) which is refined around the lower edge of the topmost layer are welcome...
(And yes, I need 3 volumes since I want to assign different properties to the layers in a simulation.)
Thank you, and have a nice weekend!
Matthias
