[Gmsh] 3D meshing - problem

Dear Gmsh users,

I created the attached geometry and I would like to do the 3D meshing so as 
to import it
in Elmer software for additional analysis.
The 2D meshing works fine, but when I do the 3D one, gmsh crashes.
The problem is that gmsh can't handle large and complex geometries such as 
the attached,
or am I doing something wrong?
