Dear all,
I meet the following problem while using GMSH to generate a volumetric
mesh. I have a quite complex surface model (.stl file, originally 150MB
binary) which I first simplified by using meshlab. I have also used the
meshlab option to select and remove the self intersecting faces. The
resulting simplified .stl file is attached.
Then I try to generate a volumetric mesh from this .stl file with GMSH,
however, I still get the error "self interacting surface mesh". But the
intersection.pos file is empty and the message "0 intersecting faces have
been saved into intersection.pos.
Could you please help me to solve this problem?
best,
Siming Bayer
